KIA STYLE360 EVOLVES NEW YORK FASHION WEEK WITH “SEE NOW, SHOP NOW” FASHION EVENTS, EMBRACING FASHI
New York, NY (September 1, 2016) – Kia STYLE360, now in its 12th year and again title sponsored by Kia Motors (www.Kia.com), has always been a great incubator for staging unique fashion shows, special performances and centralizing a home for celebrity designers. This September 2016 season will be no exception with a slate of celebrity and high fashion shows pushing the boundaries for the “See Now, Shop Now” trend, integrating cutting edge technology and embracing the social conscious demand for clothes that fit all women.
Kia STYLE360 kicks-off on September 12th by setting the “See Now, Shop Now” bar with leading entertainment and lifestyle retailer HSN and the multi-faceted tennis legend, fashion icon and successful businesswoman, Serena Williams. Their fashion event will offer an unparalleled viewing and shopping experience by allowing customers to watch and purchase items from the show at home using virtual reality technology. HSN continues to transform the way designers bring their collections to market. In addition to streaming the runway show live across all of its platforms, the retailer will give viewers at home front row access, offering a live 360-degree view of the show via HSN’s mobile and tablet apps. The show will present Serena Williams’ new fall collection accompanied by the DIAMONDS UNLEASHED for SERENA WILLIAMS exclusive collection in collaboration with world-renowned jewelry designer, Kara Ross.
Following the HSN Serena Williams Signature Statement Collection Fashion show will be the Byron Lars Beauty Mark “Exclusive Inclusion” fashion show featuring looks from BLBM’s Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 collection. Byron Lars will be putting his footprint on Fashion Week with a body-positive redefinition of what a fashion show looks like this season, featuring a first of its kind show with runway models ranging from sizes 0 through 18. “We understand and embrace the reality that beauty comes in all sizes, so we’re pioneering an ‘exclusive’ inclusion” tells Lars. Some of the fall looks will be available for sale on their e-commerce site immediately. Options in size 14 - 22 will be online in October 2016, while the spring 2017 looks will be available in January.
Shows continue on Tuesday morning, September 13th with Colombo-Venezuelan designer Raul Peñaranda’s Spring Momentum 2017 Fashion show. Television star and celebrity, Angela Simmons, presents at the 3 pm Tuesday slot showing her latest fashion venture in partnership with VIPE Activewear, founded by Marlies Korijn. Designed in Europe and made in the U.S.A. by Susanne Auzinger, former head designer of the Stella McCartney Adidas line, VIPE has launched with critical success for health and fitness conscious women who lead active lifestyles and want to look fabulous doing it. Following suit, Angela Simmons will debut her Vipe Noir designs for VIPE Activewear presenting Kia STYLE360’s first full activewear fashion show.
Closing out Tuesday will be Tumbler and Tipsy by Michael Kuluva showing his latest pop culture influenced Spring/Summer 2017 runway collection “Creaky and Tipsy”. The new collection will feature looks highlighting key arthritic focal points on the body, while staying true to the Tumbler and Tipsy brand with bold colors, funky embellishments and playful designs. After a successful launch last year, Addition Elle and Ashley Graham Lingerie are back with a sexier-than-ever-runway to start the Wednesday, September 14th events. Addition Elle, the Canadian fashion favorite will launch the show with the world-debut of its disruptive new campaign “F*This!” It addresses the frustrations of plus size women and demands the right to full fashion access, Addition Elle’s runway show will feature top plus-size models - from Ashley Graham to Barbie Ferreira, Tara Lynn, and Jordyn Woods to name a few. Supermodel, designer and body activist, Ashley Graham, will again grace the Addition Elle runway and present looks from her “Essentials” line as well as her Holiday 2016 “Seductive” collection. Along with lingerie, Addition Elle will present select pieces by plus size fashion influencer Nadia Aboulhosn. This marks the second collaboration between the brand and Nadia and promises statement-making, body confident clothes that reflect Nadia’s signature cool-girl style. Frontrow’s "Row A seat 4 collection SS17” by Shateria El-Morgane will close out the runway shows with a look at her ready to wear SS17 collection, clothes designed to be worn wherever, however.
